Requesting Continuing Education Units (CEU)
The process for requesting Continuing Educational Units (CEU) comes from the Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) branch of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA). Continuing education standards, application instructions and application forms follow. CCA Continuing Education Standards
This document identifies subject matter areas for each educational area: Nutrient Management (NM), Soil and Water (SW), Pest Management (PM), Crop Management (CM), and Professional Development (PD). Use this document to determine the subject matter area for each educational session.
CEU Application Instructions
CCA CEU Application Form
The meeting contact person fills out and submits this form to request CEU credits. Download the pdf version to submit the request electronically. Speaker bios and a copy of the meeting agenda and/or any supporting information regarding the meeting should also be submitted. The CEU request materials should be submitted to Sjoerd Duiker swd10@psu.edu, PSU representative to the PA CCA board, who makes the formal request to CCA ASA. Once the meeting is approved for CEUs, CCA ASA e-mails the CEU sign-in/out form with tracking number to the meeting contact. If CEUs are being requested after a meeting has been held, the CCA CEU Application form and supporting materials must be submitted within 30 days of the meeting date. (Per Section 4.4.2 of the CCA Policies and Procedures.)
